My Work

Below are three examples of assignments I have completed for different classes throughout my last years of school. These are some of my favorite pieces I have written recently and works I feel best represent me as a writer. They represent how I intend to write throughout both the rest of my academic career and my professional career.

Sports Equipment

Investigative Field Essay

I completed this project in my Research, Genre, and Context class during my second semester of my Freshman year of college. The purpose was to write a research essay highlighting commonly misunderstood information or new information about your topic. I chose the topic of the technological advancements that have led to a new era of Greatest of All Time athletes.

Rhetorical Analysis of Field Artifacts

I also completed this project in my Research, Genre, and Context class during my second semester of my Freshman year of college. The purpose was to analyze two artifacts, one text-based and one non-text-based, to consider how the features of each artifact function differently to achieve their rhetorical purposes. I chose an article and a video surrounding sports technology.

Community Writing Analysis (Revised)

This project was completed in my Writing and Editing in Print and Online class during my first semester of Sophomore year. The goal of this assignment was to create a magazine spread explaining how a specific community uses writing to achieve social and rhetorical goals. I have made slight revisions since my original submission to make my findings more accurate.
