Investigative Field Essay

     For this essay, I got to choose what topic I wanted to focus on. As one of my passions is sports in general, this was what I wanted to focus on. Throughout my time watching, listening, and reading about sports, I noticed several fans debating on who the Greatest of All Time athletes, or GOATs, of different sports were. Several of the arguments included athletes either still competing in the sport, like LeBron James and Novak Djokovic, or athletes who recently retired, like Serena Williams and Tom Brady. Therefore, in this essay, I focused on what the causes of this intense increase in athletic skill are and how they've lead to this athletic advancement.
